This week, the dismantling of the 56-metre-high chimney in Riga, Atlasa iela 7, which is next to the Rīgas Miesnieks production plant, has been completed. The demolition works were performed by the demolition service company Demontāža.lv, but the customer is the construction company Jumis HB, the portal La.lv was informed by Kristīne Toma.
Demolition of special buildings in Riga, the dismantling of which requires an individually developed approach, does not happen often.
"Dismantling works like these require special technology - initially the chimney is lowered to the 30-metre mark by hand, and then, using a 60-tonne excavator with a 30 m boom, the demolition works are completed," said Mārtiņš Mālnieks, Director of Demontāža.lv.
